You will be required to use process skills, which means that you must be able to use maths in work and life situations.
You must:

Make sense of the situation and represent it mathematically
Analyse
Use maths to find results and solutions
Interpret
Understand the results and choose appropriate ways to present the information
The mathematics functional skills qualification will replace the application of number key skills qualification in England.
